We believe asset recoverability is table stakes for the next era of digital assets.
From JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley to Coincover, Komainu, and beyond, the Circuit team understands deeply that real-world adoption of digital assets won’t happen until all digital assets are inherently recoverable.
Circuit didn’t begin as a recovery solution.
Initially, Harry set out to build a DeFi operating system—a flexible infrastructure layer for institutions navigating the digital asset ecosystem. But as he spoke with insurers, institutional traders, fund managers, crypto-native teams, and market makers, one issue kept surfacing: asset loss.
Through dozens of conversations, it became clear that the industry had normalized an unacceptable risk: if keys, people, or infrastructure failed, assets were simply gone. The core of crypto was built on this fragile assumption, and no one had truly solved it yet.
That’s when the focus shifted—to eliminate asset loss forever.
Shortly after, Tom joined the mission. He had seen the limits of key-based recovery models firsthand while leading new business development at CoinCover. Together, the team set out to reframe the problem. Instead of securing keys, Circuit would secure the assets themselves—using a transaction-based enforcement model that prevented downtime and met the institutional demands of a 24/7 marketplace, bringing the guardrails of the traditional institutional market to digital assets in the form of a failsafe.
Circuit was built to ensure that digital asset loss becomes a thing of the past.
